Mac's Humble Story

Mac's story is a testament of hardwork and determination. Starting from a young age, his childhood was full of hardships and sacrifices, as he belongs to a poor family from Novaliches, Quezon City, Philippines. He started to work at the age of 17 while attending college. And because of his dream and ambition in life, despite of all his struggles, he graduated from Polytechnic University of the Philippines in Sta. Mesa, Manila with the Degree of Bachelor of Arts Major in History in 2005.

His co-workers describe him as generous and kind. Whatever he has, small or big things, he finds a way to share it. He became a manager in one of the biggest food chain in the Philippines and some popular restaurants before coming to Canada as a temporary foreign worker.

He started as a food counter attendant at Tim Horton’s for 3 months and promoted as a Food Service Supervisor until his permanent residence was approved in 2015. Being a temporary worker himself, he became curious and interested in Canadian Immigration law and strives to process his permanent residence application himself. He helped unconditionally his co-workers process their permanent residence application. He became a store manager at Starbucks for 5 years while taking a diploma program of Canadian Immigration law. He graduated with Honors and passed the licensure exam in 2019.
